Welcome To The Freak Show!

What is The Freak Show you may ask? The Webster’s dictionary defines freak as an abnormal person, animal, or thing. Years ago people paid money at a circus, or carnival to see humans, or animals who had odd characteristics or an "imperfection" which made them strange or even frightening to the on lookers. People were flocking and even paying to laugh, sneer, and be sickened by the outcasts in what was called "a freak show".

All of us who are human have imperfections. Some more visible than others, but all scarred, in one way or another a freak. All of us are so full of flaws and are desperately needing someone who is perfect to love, accept, and ultimately save us from ourselves.
That’s where Jesus came in and was perfect and flawless, yet died to save and give hope to us, "The Freaks." You see Christ was the only normal person to live. He was exactly what God intended for ALL man kind to be, until sin entered the heart of man, making us hideous in the sight of God. Yet when Christ died and was resurrected from the dead He offered to any who would believe in Him a restored relationship with God, making us beautiful in His sight.

But just like years ago, people find someone who is in love with Jesus Christ and not ashamed of it, odd or if you will a freak.

That’s what this youth ministry is about, students who are flawed and imperfect searching for the one who can save them from themselves. We are made of many different backgrounds and walks of life yet all so much alike. We are different in looks, clothing styles, and even music preferences, yet all alike in our imperfections and scars only Christ can heal.
